The trip, in short
The Similans are a national park of nine granite islands about seventy kilometres offshore, and the water around them is the best in the country: visibility routinely past thirty metres, hard coral in decent shape, and reef fish in numbers you no longer see closer to the mainland.
The park is closed from roughly mid-May to mid-October and the exact dates are set each year by the Department of National Parks. Outside that window it is the single best snorkelling day trip in Thailand.
Sail Rock viewpoint on Island 8 is a fifteen-minute scramble for the photograph the whole archipelago is known for.

Pick-up area: Khao Lak and Bang Niang hotels; Phuket hotels on the Phuket option. We message your exact pick-up window the evening before, with the driver's name and vehicle.
Before you book
- The park closes annually, roughly 16 May to 14 October. Bookings inside a closure are refunded in full.
- The crossing is seventy kilometres of open sea and can be rough. Take something for seasickness before you board, not after.
- Only reef-safe sunscreen is permitted in the park; oxybenzone-based creams are banned and confiscated.
- Overnight stays on the islands are no longer permitted.

We are the organiser of this service
OrganiserWe contract for this service as principal — it is operated by us, or by a local supplier engaged by us in our own name in Thailand. Your contract is with us, not with the driver, guide, captain or boat operator, and we carry the obligation to deliver it as described.
This service is performed in Thailand, by our Bangkok operation. Access Transit Express, registered in Indonesia, is the merchant of record for the payment: the charge, the invoice and any refund come from us, and your statement reads ACCESSTRANSITEXPRESS.
Our role, in fullCancellation & refunds
Cancel free up to 48 hours before the start time for a full refund to the card you paid with. Cancel later than that and the booking is non-refundable, because the vehicle, seat or greeter has already been committed.
- Refunds are issued within one business day and reach your card in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- If we cancel — weather, a marine department closure, a mechanical failure — you choose a new date or a full refund, whenever we cancel.
- No-shows and cancellations inside the window are not refundable. We will always try to move you to another date first.
