Grand Palace, Wat Pho & Wat Arun with a private guide
The trip, in short
The Grand Palace opens at 08:30 and by ten it is close to unbearable. We collect you at 07:30, are through the gate within fifteen minutes of opening, and finish Wat Phra Kaew while the courtyards are still walkable.
From there it is a five-minute walk to Wat Pho and the 46-metre reclining Buddha, then the cross-river ferry to Wat Arun — where the porcelain-encrusted prang is at its best in late-morning light, and the climb is optional.
Your guide is licensed by the Department of Tourism, which matters more than it sounds: unlicensed guides are not permitted inside the palace grounds and are routinely turned away at the gate.

Meeting point

Before you book
- Temples are working religious sites: shoulders and knees must be covered for everyone. Our vehicles carry spare sarongs.
- Shoes come off inside ordination halls. Wear something you can slip on and off.
- The Grand Palace enforces its dress code strictly and will refuse entry over bare shoulders, short skirts, ripped jeans or vest tops.
- Anyone outside the gate telling you the palace is closed today is running a scam. It is open.
